The Capitol Region Purchasing Council (CRPC) is seeking qualified contractors to implement and manage integrated pest management (IPM) programs and services for all Capitol Region Council of Government (CRCOG) and CRPC members (approximately 150 municipal and government agencies across the state of Connecticut – EXHIBIT A.) to utilize as needed. Integrated Pest Management (“IPM”) is defined as the use of all available pest control techniques including judicious use of pesticides, when warranted, to maintain a pest population at or below an acceptable level, while decreasing the unnecessary use of pesticides. The primary goal of IPM is to reduce the amounts of pesticides applied by using alternative methods of pest control which may include structural maintenance, sanitation, and mechanical or biological control. These methods will help to eliminate conditions that are favorable for pest infestation, making pest survival more difficult. Qualified contractor(s) will be expected to: Assist with the development of comprehensive IPM programs at facilities that require commercial pest control services, provide technical assistance to CRCOG and CRPC members resulting from this RFQ. Provide a consistent quality of account management and service in support of any IPM program to CRPC member as outlined in the contract executed between the two parties. Additional details and information on the Scope of Services may be found in Exhibit C. Successful Respondents will be placed on a list of qualified professionals to serve CRCOG and CRPC member municipalities and agencies who are seeking professional IPM services.
